Summary:

Panda, a 10-year-old cat, came in because one of his canine teeth was sticking out sideways. During the exam, the vet found moderate to severe dental disease and recommended a full dental cleaning with extractions of any damaged teeth.
On January 29, 2025, Panda underwent a COHAT (Comprehensive Oral Health Assessment and Treatment), which included cleaning and the removal of four problematic teeth (103, 106, 204, and 206) due to mobility and infection. Dental X-rays also showed bone growth and swelling around two upper teeth, raising a concern for possible tumor growth (neoplasia), which will be monitored.
Panda recovered without complications and was sent home with pain medication and antibiotics. His owners were advised to feed him soft food for 10 days and return for follow-ups at 3 and 10 days to ensure proper healing.
At his 3-day checkup, Panda’s stitches were intact, swelling had gone down, and he was recovering well. The vet will continue monitoring his mouth for any further issues.
